PROCESS

Clients come to me with varying levels of experience and clarity about what they want to develop, whether it is their company identity, a marketing piece or a website. My job is to help clients identify abstract goals, determine how to address those goals, and articulate their visual style.

Generally, projects steps include:

Discovery

Learning about your company and understanding the goals and deliverables of the design project.

Proposal

From the discovery, I prepare a proposal that will outline the process, costs and time frame to complete the project. If we agree on the terms, then we begin the work.

Design

Going deeper into what has been learned in the previous steps, including researching industry and competition, and coming up with an initial set of mockups that address the agreed upon project goals.

Feedback and revisions

You provide feedback, we discuss, and I make revisions and refinements to the initial design for a decided number of rounds.

Print or web production

Once the design is finalized, in the case of a print piece I create the press-ready files, in the case of a web design I create the graphics and write the css and html.

Final Pass

After everything is complete, we do a quick review of the proofs or development website to make sure it all looks and works the way it should.

Again, this is a general guideline. Every project is different and schedules and needs change.
